Using the Dictate Function for Longer Text

Jeanie Ingram

If you have a lot of text that you want to insert into your Breakout Game, you can make quick work of that using the dictate function in the online and Windows 10 versions of OneNote! I find that it works well with very few required corrections. One caveat is that you need to speak your punctuation marks if you want to avoid going back to make corrections or additions. If you add sentence-ending punctuation, OneNote will automatically capitalize the next sentence. (Nice! 👍) Below are some of the common punctuation marks that I tested out. I've listed the words I said and the resulting symbol.
